Description:
This out-and-back trail is a bit of a steep one, achieving 3300 feet elevation gain within 5 miles. We might encounter mountain bikes. The Rhodies were just beginning to bloom the last time I did this hike, which was several days ago. The peak is overgrown so there is not much of a view from the top. It will be hot on Monday, so we will start early and bring plenty of water.
We will meet at the trailhead which is about 28 miles from downtown Eugene on Hwy 58, not far past the Willamette National Forest sign.
