Let’s get out of the heat and head to the coast! Please arrive by 8:20 for the 8:30 departure. We’ll park at Carl Washburn State park and hike clockwise. Drivers needed, please indicate how many you can take besides yourself when signing up. Suggested carpool fee: $15.50.

Trip Report

Perfect weather at the beach today (while the rest of the valley baked)!We were so happy the China Creek bridge is back and loop is open! What a gem this part of the trail is. Heceta Head Lighthouse - like an old friend greeting us! Then the last mile or so walking barefoot on the beach back to our cars - gorgeous day!
