Trip Report

A very small group as most of the campers had hiked this trail on Aug. 15, including Martha. But since she had forgotten her camera that day and the wildflowers were so spectacular, she wanted to hike it again, this time with a camera. The wildflowers were indeed spectacular as were vistas of Mt. St. Helens, Spirit Lake, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood. The hike is all in the sun as the eruption blew down all the trees, so take plenty of water and sunscreen. Even so, a trip well worth taking.
