Description:
We will start at the parking lot on E 24th Ave., just east of Amazon Pkwy. From there we will wind our way up College Hill and visit various historic or otherwise notable sites. Then north to W 13th Ave and the Lane County History Museum at the Fairgrounds. Museum admission is free, donations appreciated.
The walk will pass many locations included in the City of Eugene’s College Hill Walking Tour pamphlet which can be downloaded at: https://www.eugene-or.gov/DocumentCenter/View/12588/Brief-History-and-Walking-Tour-of-College-Hill
The 5 mile trip distance includes about 3 or so meandering miles to the museum with a return of a bit less than 2 miles by the shortest route.
The walk will semi-formally end at the museum for those who want to linger there or wander downtown or have lunch somewhere.
The walk is urban, so wear shoes suitable for sidewalks and otherwise prepare accordingly.
