Description:

This is a short hike with a significant climb, especially in the first two miles. The trail is generally in good shape, and the rock is where we have lunch.

Bring appropriate gear for a November hike.

Navigation instruction will be given to those interested, although the hike itself is straightforward. Obsidian protocols for social distancing will be observed on the hike. Refer to main website page for information.

Trip Report

Eight of us hiked up to Larison Rock, the temperature at the start being 33, but the 1500 ft. elevation gain in 2 miles made all of us warm. We were on top for lunch with clear skies overhead and a nice view to the south. Year by year, the trees are starting to encroach upon the view. We hiked back down with no problems, encountering only 2 other people the whole time.
