Trip Report

A lot of work and planning discussions took place on this day. Drainage around the building was the focus and several of us spent time digging at the back of the Lodge to establish the depths and routes for everything buried there—drains, sprinkler control, electrical, etc. We know a little more than when we started, but we might need a locator service to clearly map the area. Steve Johnson and Michael King got a ground level downspout clean-out section installed at the south end of the building, but the north end downspout wasn't a match. Maybe that can be retrofitted when the building is painted. Linda Anson cleaned all the parking area lights. She also talked about the quotes she'd received for painting the Lodge. Among those in that discussion there was a consensus that we should do a lot of the trim painting ourselves and we should wait on the south side until after the deck is rebuilt and probably do the painting ourselves. The new "reserved for guest speaker" sign was installed in the parking area east of the Lodge by the grounds crew, who also did some trimming. Jim and Nancy surveyed the outer areas of the property with an eye toward fire protection.
