Description:

Nice trail through the woods north of Westfir, OR. One short part of the trail could be bushy. Average grade 8%. Top elevation 2310 ft. so it could be chilly.

Trip Report

The steep Lower Alpine trail was a great remedy for cool morning muscles. We traversed couple mossy ridges and one clearcut area and reached our lunch destination at noon. After a short lunch, seasoned with light drizzle, we headed same way back. Finally sun peaked out so we can enjoy wildflowers in full grace. It was a good day on the trail.
