Trip Report

This trip was scheduled to be a trail maintenance on the French Pete trail, but was changed the morning of the trip due to lack of participants. The leader didn't feel that it was in the best interests of safety with only two in her party. We chose instead to join Gene Thaxton's party and a tour of the Lucky Boy Mines above Blue River Dam. We took our tools with us and did turn our trip into a trail maintenance trip. We removed several trees and a considerable number of limbs from the trail. We removed branches from some trees making them easier to crawl over. We caught up with Gene's troop in time for sharing part of our lunch break before moving onto explore another mine shaft. It was a very enjoyable day and I'm sure that I will have another opportunity to work on the French Pete trail. My co-worker was Pat Henderson; leader was Mike Wright.
