Description:

This is the alternative the Pisgah hike that was scheduled.
Starting from Martin St to Fox Hollow then east to Dillard East Trailhead then up Baldy returning the same or parallel trail route. Looks to be about 6+ miles with around 1300’ elevation gain. This is a nice out and back trail with variants.

Trip Report

Just prior to a forecast winter storm 4 Obsidians joined me in this Martin St to Baldy out and back hike. The weather was good with a few sprinkles coming down and temps hovering around 40 degrees. We spent a few short minutes near the summit bench before the cold breeze sent us back down into the sheltered tree line. It was a pleasant hike of approximately 2 hour duration.
