Description:

Much of this trail is through forest environment with stunning views at the summit. Weather in the lower reaches is forecast to be high of 74 & sunny. Remnant snow from this week’s storms is possible. In the unlikely event that it is impassable, we can divert to Alsea Falls Trail {2.8 miles, 400’ elevation gain} in the neighborhood.
Suggested reimbursement to drivers would be $12.

Trip Report

We all met at the trailhead at 9:50am and got underway almost immediately. The trail is a lollipop loop, and very nicely built. We encountered mushy snow in the upper reaches, a bit slippery but more inconvenient than dangerous. The top was beautiful, sunny and almost hot - really! Not bad for late March. Special thanks to Steve Johnson for his assistance in making this a successful outing that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
