Description:

Saturday we will drive to the Pole Creek trail head and hike roughly 6 miles, 2000 ft elevation gain, to our base camp. We may need to camp on snow and melt snow for water.
Sunday will begin with a predawn assent up the remaining 3000 ft to the summit. Initially we will follow a ridge on the Hayden glacier. Once we gain the saddle between North and Middle Sister, we will complete the final, class III, steep, stretch of loose rock, ice, cinder, and attention commanding exposure. After enjoying the summit, we will hike out and drive home Sunday evening.
