Trip Report

We hiked into Camp Lake Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day. There were many wildflowers in bloom. The snowfield was breaking off on the west end of the lake sending chunks of ice floating across the lake. There was a very bright full moon Saturday night. We started climbing Sunday morning at 0600. Windy, cold, clear day. There were low clouds on the west slopes. We reached the summit at 0930. Stayed on top for approximately 1½ hours. We had a great glissade down - almost 2000 vertical feet. Nice, enjoyable climb for Tim Bailey, Carl Rames, and leader Randy Zustiak.
