Trip Report

The minimum party of three left Eugene at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. We arrived at Pole Creek Springs Trailhead at 1:30 after a good lunch at Coyote Creek Restaurant in Sisters. We made the 7-mile backpack to Camp Lake by 5:00 p.m. The climb started at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday. Chris and Kristen made the summit in three and a half hours. The leader had them in sight at all times (almost) but this old man too an hour longer to the top! We were back in base camp by 2:00 p.m. to enjoy some time by the lake. Weather was great for all three days. We backpacked out on Monday morning (Labor Day). The two climbers who gave leader Wes Prouty a good workout were Kristan Kaminski and Chris Steele.
