Trip Report

Remember February 8, 2020 that the 3:30 departure time could have been 15 minutes later for the 4:48 moonrise. On Trail 4 we saw the a few early snow queen flowers. Anne and Sheridan chose to stay on top hopefully to photograph the snow moon. The rest of us—-not so positive that the moon would reveal itself through the clouds—descended with dramatic views for the clouds before sunset. Back at the parking lot, the sun dropped behind Spencer Butte. Perfect timing.
