Mt Pisgah Sunset/Moonrise

Description:

Sunset is 7:53 and moonrise is 7:42. Probably both events will happen around the same time as the moon rises above the foothills. Faster hikers usually include a section of Trail 4. Email me at jbjacobsen@comcast.net if you have questions or if you have never hiked Mt. Pisgah. If you don’t have a Lane County pass, allow time to purchase one with Debit/Credit card (no cash) at the pay station by trailhead. Please have a headlamp or flashlight. The full supermoon is the next evening but I changed the date to the 29th to not conflict with Obsidian Trail Maintenance.

Trip Report

What a pleasant surprise to have great weather and no smoke. We welcomed soon to be new member, Greg Carter. The moon did not show its face— disappointing. Thanks to Angie who led the hikers up Trail 4 while I took a smaller group on the main trail.
