Mt Pisgah Sunset/Moonrise (long)

Description:

This is a long hike to backside of Pisgah.–It takes two hours and 15 minutes at a moderate space to get to the top!. The sunset is 6:04 and moonrise is 6:04. We will take Trail 7 to Trail 4 DOWN to Trail 2 and then up 800 ft elevation on the east side. Look for us by my car, one or two rows down from the fee box. Email me at jbjacobsen@comcast.net if you have questions. If it is raining, we could opt for a shorter hike. Obsidian protocols for social distancing will be observed on the hike. Trip Report

It was a two hour hike to the top in cloudy, misty weather. Before we opted to start down and not wait for the sunset, Marci Hansen, Maryanne Reiter and friends joined us. With their face coverings, we didn't immediately recognize them. On the way down, we met Kay Coots and her group coming up. Many hellos!
