Description:

Climb up the standard route on Mt McLoughlin. The route is 1-2 miles on maintained trail with the rest on a typical steep, class 2 climber's trail with very minor scrambling here and there. The trip starts at the trailhead at 5:00 AM on 7/13 so plan to be there about 15 minutes before that. Some, or all, of us will camp Friday night NEAR the trailhead (dispersed camping) as camping at the trailhead is prohibited. Some USFS campgrounds are available within 20-30 minutes drive if desired.
