Description:

Park in the main parking lot and meet at the gate for trail#1. You must pay for a day pass at the parking kiosk (debit/credit cards only) or have an annual Lane County parks pass on display in your vehicle. We'll hike up to the summit and back on trail #1. I'm planning to do two laps with a weighted pack (recommend 20-40lbs in your pack if you want to use training weight), but you're welcome to join for just one lap and/or hike without weight. The goal will be to finish in about 2 hours, which should be right around sunset (bring a headlamp).

Trip Report

Another beautiful evening for a training hike! A couple of us completed two laps up to the summit and back while two others made a single trip after arriving late due to traffic delays - better one than none! We were done hiking before dark and were treated to some nice sunset colors as we made our final descent.
