Carpool from Eugene on Friday, Feb. 8 & meet at east side of parking lot at Timberline Lodge. We’ll start the climb up the standard South Side/Hogsback route early in the wee hours of the morning.

Supplies and Equipment Required: Crampons & compatible boots, helmet, ice ax, harness, (2) locking ‘biners, (2) prusiks, belay device, food & water for 12 hours plus extra emergency food, extra warm & waterproof clothes, emergency shelter (small tarp should be okay), shovel & avalanche probe if you have them, avalanche transceiver (can be borrowed at UO Outdoor Program), headlamp & extra batteries, compass, sunblock, lip balm, sunglasses, gaiters. Snowshoes & trekking poles are optional, but may be of use.
