Trip Report

Left Eugene 8:00 a.m. Saturday, drove to Pamelia Lake trailhead, hiked to Hunts Lake and camped for the night. Left the lake at 2:30 a.m., arrived at Goat Peak about daybreak, at the top 1:15 p.m., back to camp 8:00 p.m. Henrietta, being the only one with sound mind changed to the Goat Peak loop trip rather than the Jefferson crunch. The weather was windy but sunny above the clouds and a moat across the snowfield helped. Climbers were Rick Ahrens, Ray Davis, Fran Gnose, Greg Hendrickson, Bob Nickel, Paul Orum, Pat Zustiak and leader Frank Moore.
