Mt. Jefferson White Water Glacier

IMPORTANT NOTE: We are climbing the Whitewater Gl route (grade II, 4th class rock, moderate glacier and steep snow) instead of the Jefferson Park Glacier route! The title of the trip may or may not get updated. There is a chance of this trip taking part of a third day (Monday 6/15).

Saturday: Drive to Whitewater TH. Hike to camp at "the beach", ~8300' near the southern edge of the Whitewater Glacier.
Sunday: Climb the route, return to camp, and hike out. If we are too tired or it is too late to hike out, we'll camp a second night (bring enough food and fuel).

Hiking mileage to and from camp is around 7 miles, over 4000' elevation gain. The route is long, covering over 5 miles round trip, most of that distance on the Whitewater Glacier. The route is long and has extreme exposure on steep snow with rockfall exposure at several points.

The leader has climbed most, but not all, of the route.
