Description:

Hike the Lost Creek trail to the junction between Sawtooth Rock & Mt. June, continuing to the summit of Mt. June. As of 4/22 there were still several patches of snow across the trail in the upper reaches of Lost Creek and the ridge at Sawtooth junction. I have not scouted the trail from Sawtooth junction to the summit of Mt. June. Numerous groups were hiking it April 21 though, so it's definitely open.

Trip Report

Our group enjoyed a pleasant, though cool & damp, hike from the Lost Creek trailhead to the summit of Mt. June. We enjoyed a mix of spring flowers along the trail: Oregon grape, Calypso orchids, and fawn lilies were all prolific along the upper section. Unfortunately, there was no view from the summit, which was surrounded by a mix of fog and low clouds. We didn't really have any 'rain' - just intermittent 'Oregon mist'. Afterwards half of the group enjoyed a stop in Pleasant Hill at the Hilltop Bar & Grill (the fish tacos were excellent!)
