Trip Report

After arriving at the trailhead at different times Saturday afternoon and evening under clear skies the climbers gave up on their leader and went to bed around 10:00 p.m. - he arrived around 11:30 p.m. Left Sunday morning around 7:20 with some light clouds showing; a little more than half way up we lost our view of Shasta. We met a nice couple, Paul and Corileen and their little dog Fiddle-stix. From around treeline we climbed together.

Spike didn't feel well and stopped short of the top, but everyone else summited. There was a little celebration for the ten peakers Jerry, Ray and Sally. With the exception of the foggy, cloudy weather, it was a very successful climb. Those climbing were Rick Ahrens, Ray Davis, Bob Foster, Sally Grosscup and son Spike, George Jobanek, Jerry Mohler and leader Keith Blunck.
