Trip Report

We left Eugene at 1400 Saturday, arrived at the trailhead at 1600 and made camp. It snowed lightly overnight, but was partly cloudy when we set out at 0700. There was a chilly wind at the higher elevations, and clouds came close but did not cover us. The first climber reached the summit at 1100 and the leader brought up the rear at 1215. There was a cloud deck which obscured everything but Klamath Lake and the top of Mt Shasta. The leader had knee problems on descent, arriving back at the trailhead at 1700. We stopped for pizza on the way back, arriving in Eugene at about 2230.

Our five capable climbers included Dan Bretheim, Pat Eysenbach, Paul Orum, Ernie Rimerman, and leader Joel McClure.
