Trip Report

The group assembled in various parts on or near the trailhead about 8:30 am. Low clouds and low flying mosquitoes were encountered early on. The trail steepens until you emerge to view the crater on the east side and the summit. We all topped out about 1:00 pm and enjoyed a cool, breezy hour on top. It was an exceptional day, bright and clear, floating on a "sea of clouds". It was a leisurely three hours returning to the realm of mortals, with a brief camera stop early on. The congenial group included Jan & Rick Anselmo, Buzz Blumm, Brian Hoyland, Rob Langridge, Richard Lemon, Ed Lovegren and Rick Ahrens, leader.
