Trip Report

We all camped at the Climbers' Bivouac Sunday night, then hit the trail at 7:30 a.m. Monday. It was a beautiful day, with cloud banks continuously building to the east, but we were in the clear throughout the climb. We made the top (can't really call it a "peak"!) between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. depending on hiking abilities, Andrew (age 5) and Buzz being the last to summit. Beautiful views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams (in and out of the clouds); even a rock-fall on the east flank. We all arrived back at the trailhead by 5:15. Climbers were Mae Brownlee, Darrin Sarro, Wayne Deeter, John Hegg, Daniel, Meagan & Robert Shaw and Andrew & Buzz Blumm (leader).
