Trip Report

We started this climb of Mt. Thielsen at 7:30 a.m. after camping Saturday night at Diamond Lake. All were on the summit by 11:30 a.m. on a hot, windless day. Rappelled off the pinnacle and hiked to cars where Dave Cash and Sheryl Hampton returned to Bend, John Moffitt and Phil Morrison headed for camping at Crater Lake, and Margaret Crosland and leader Lee Hatch drove to Eugene.
