Description:

We will be meeting on Friday evening at 6 pm at the Albertson's parking lot in the Thurston area in Springfield. As we will be carpooling from there up to Santiam pass to Big lake area to camp for the night at the trail head for the PCT. We will leave camp at 4 am on Saturday morning to summit and back down to the cars. Should be around 10 to 12 hours of trail time depending on how crowded the trails are.

We will need helmet, harness, 2 prussik loops, an extra prussik loop for the auto block for the rappel. 3 locking biners, Day pack with the 10 essentials with wind shell and enough extra room for group gear. Water and food for 10 to 12 hours (3 litters) because there will be no place to refill water on the trail.
