Trip Report

Our group left Big Lake Campground at 6:30 a.m. to climb Mt. Washington by the standard north ridge route. Three of us intended to summit and three others planned to hike with us summiteers as far as the saddle. By the time we reached that point, the fog was becoming quite thick. After making the top we quickly came down spurred on by the cold wind and threatening rain clouds. On our hike back to the car, the clouds opened up and we were thoroughly drenched. All had fun, however.

The group consisted of Christine Ligneau, Rex Purkerson, Scott Purkerson, Jim Rouse, Tom Walsh and leader George Jobanek.
