Trip Report

Beautiful spring wildflowers lined our path to the Pisgah Summit. The atmosphere on the top was both windy and festive as we waited for the sun to sink and the moon to rise. Appreciative exclamations about the stunning snow-covered peaks to the east passed the time. Our patience was rewarded with stunning colors to the west as the sun dipped below the horizon and a glimmer of the moon’s light appeared in the east. Serenading coyotes celebrated our descent. Another delightful outing with Obsidian friends.
