Description: Turn right at the sign for West Summit Trailhead and follow pay fee signs. We meet near the gate and pay station. If you don’t have a Lane County permit, allow time to purchase one at the pay station by trailhead. Depending on weather, I plan to take back trails to the summit, avoiding the main trail #1. Mileage and elevation could vary but around 6 miles at a moderate steady pace. Estimated time is 2 1/2- 3 hours .

Trip Report

Steady, light rain stayed with us for this amble up to the Pisgah summit via Trails 17, 7, 3 around the north meadow ,4 and 1. A stiff breeze and low clouds greeted the group on top. Pleasant conversation continued throughout the trip. Nice to get in some quality time with a good group of folks enjoying Oregon's liquid sunshine.
