Mt Pisgah Solstice Sunset Hike

Description:

We will meet at my car a row or two down from the fee box. Sunset is 8:59pm and the moonrise is 8:25pm. We will plan to take trails 17 and 3 to catch the main trail to the summit. A faster group of hikers may choose to include a portion of Trail 4 if it is open. We will take the main trail (#1) back to the parking lot. Trip Report

Hikers went to the summit in two groups, half up trail 3 to 1 and half up trail 4 to 1. The sunset and moonrise were both visible and beautiful in the clear sky. A most excellent start to summer!
