Description:

We will work in a Ridgeline adjacent park, Wayne Morse Ranch park. Our project for this month is to cut tread in the park to bring it to City standard width.

Poison Oak warning, this park is known for copious amounts of poison oak.

Meet at the main Wayne Morse Ranch parking lot, the paved lot off of Crest Drive.

Trip Report

Our group met up at Morse Ranch Park to work independently to prepare trail tread for graveling. We cleared duff and other debris from a previously graveled neighborhood connector trail. Widening the trail base to about 3 feet.

Then, we did the same for a one city-block long natural surface neighborhood connector trail. Additionally, Pat and Janet W. trimmed back brush from the sides of the trail. Most notably cutting back the plum that was draping down into the trail on our way in.
Our group made short work of the days tasks and enjoyed well earned cookies, lemonade and apple crisp.
