For this outing we will return to continue cutting back brush from the trailsides of the Tie Trail.

Trip Report

For our first outing back on our weekend schedule we hiked and hacked along the Tie Trail. Larry, Pat, Janet, Naith, and I hiked down to where we left of a couple months ago to begin our work, working our way back up the trail. Using loppers, handclippers and saws we opened up some headroom along the trail corridor getting showered by water falling off of the vegetation. We then whacked and chopped with weedcutters to cutback blackberry, Oregon grape, black raspberry, sword ferns, and an assortment of other brush from the trailsides. The brush was so thick and overgrown that we only made it to about the mid-point of the trail before needing to head back.

As always Clara immaculately cleaned the trailhead stairs.
