Description:

This month we will work to re-establish the tread along the upper portion of the West Trail. We may also clean the kiosk, check ditches, and pick up litter.

Trip Report

For this month's outing, in observance of National Trails Day, we broke into 3 groups.

The first group of Clara, Brandi, and Roberta worked to clean the trailhead area cleaning the kiosk, steps, and picking up 13 gallons of litter. The second group of Janet and Mike hiked down the Tie cutting back woody brush to finish the work we started on Wednesday. The final group of Autumn, Dan, Jim, Naith, and I hiked up the West Trail to continue to re-establish the tread along the upper portion. We were able to improve about 200ft of the trail.
