Trip Report

Chris Shuraleff gave us an unforgettable treat at the November 17 potluck by sharing her thoughts, her feelings and her pictures from her trip to Nepal in March. Chris filled the Lodge with the gentle fragrance of incense brought back from Nepal, and shared a varied and fascinating array of objects, from prayer flags, bells and hand-made wall hangings to carpets. She spoke right from the heart - and we all felt it.

Some wonderful pictures from Anapurna and Chitwan National Park were shown, and several people in the audience could relate and assist in recalling names and numbers of peaks and places. Ray Mikesell was the initiator of this trip.

We were 42 Obsidians and guests and had such a cozy time while the rain danced on the roof! How lucky can we be to have such a fine place to gather and share as our Obsidian Lodge? - Birgitte Williams
