Description:
Obsidians volunteers will join others and work in coordination with the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council to build a new community garden center in Cottage Grove. The work will include cleaning old garden structures, moving flower beds, soil, etc. All tools will be provided, so only your enthusiasm and the will to do the work in, for now, unknown weather conditions are required.
PROJECT FOR DEC 7th: The fence should be complete (we're having a staff workday on Thursday to make final touches)! The primary project for Saturday is to begin spreading compost in the internal garden areas and to continue to break down the old garden infrastructure. We *may* also plant some bulbs for spring color.
Please support program of Huerto de la Familia , now a part of a nonprofit called Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad.
The volunteers need to park in the lot off of R Street which can be accessed from River Road to Harrison Ave.
