We’ll hike CLOCKWISE steady moderate pace through oak prairie all to the grassy top where we’ll have lunch with “endless” scenic views.
Please be ready for a serious hike with few muddy places. Pleasant dry windless day is expected, in the mid 60sF.

Trip Report

The wrinkled hills of North Bank Habitat never disappoint. We started our cold morning hike by wading through the mud on the swampy Chasm Creek Road and then up the steep climb to the North Boundary Road, arriving at the sunny summit of Round Timber around noon. After lunch with a great view, we continued clockwise via the Ridge Trail and the Middle Ridge Trail all the way to the West Entrance Day Use parking lot packed with cars baking in the hot mid-March sun.
