Trip Report

The whole group had the pleasure of riding in Bob Dark's van to Frog Camp, followed by a leisurely hike in the rain to base camp above Sunshine Friday evening. Saturday morning was marginal with ice on our tents and a dusting of snow slightly above. Due to the weather, we started later than anticipated and played hide and seek with the sun while climbing and we enjoyed the views for a short while until near the summit where the weather closed in. The chute was reached but found to be too icy and dangerous for the party. With the weather and time of day marginal, the climb was stopped, and we returned to camp in the mist for dinner, bed and a nice hike out the next morning under clearing conditions.
