Trip Report

All of our group arrived at base camp by dark on Friday evening and we started the climb at 5:30 a.m. saturday morning. The weather was cool to warm as the day progressed and calm with a high overcast. We climbed at an easy pace to the "dinner plate" area, which had very little snow remaining. The selected route crossing used two rope lengths (300 ft.) and dropped us slightly down and then up to the chute opening. Christine Ligneau set up and belayed the climbers up the summit chute with everyone on top by 12:30 p.m. A good rappel set-up and belay by Tom Donnelly speed our descent and we returned to base camp by 6 p.m. A good day and good climb with special and beautiful people.

Climbers were Brian Barber, Rick and Sally Grosscup, Audrey Cummings, Jason Donnelly, Tom Donnelly (assistant leader), Christine Ligneau, Chris Shuraleff, Tom Woxell, and leader, Glenn Meares. Also camping and hiking with the group was Doris Allen.
