Description:

Planning to climb North Sister, on the South Ridge (standard route), via the East Ridge, from the Pole Creek TH. I'd like to do this in a day trip, so we can meet at the traillhead the night before, get some sleep, and start quite early to avoid the heat.Carpool details to come.I am expecting lots of rock scramble and a snowy traverse.

Trip Report

We had to move our trip to Sunday to accommodate weather, but it turned out great. The traverse had only a bit of useable snow on what used to be the moat. Glad to have protection going to and from the moat due to loose rock. Other groups were happy to make use of the fixed line and our strong team still made good time to the summit. The only problem was the lack of leader treats, but they were let them off with a warning.
