Description:

This will be a two night backpacking trip starting Friday (8/28) and returning that Sunday. Early Friday morning we'll backpack 6 miles into the Obsidian Area, during our hike we'll be able to look at a few meadows that we were able to rehab last year. After passing through those meadows we'll setup a basecamp close to sunshine meadows and Obsidian Falls. We'll spend the majority of our time creating small dams every couple of feet in an old user trail that runs parallel with the PCT.

This trip requires that you be pre-registered with the forest service as a volunteer at least a week in advance. Contact the trip leader for the form, it's quick and easy to fill out but needs to be signed by the district ranger before you head out.

We'll also work on carpooling options once we know the group size.
