Obsidian Lodge Deck Rehab

Description:

We will be hauling gravel in 5 gallon buckets, placing and compacting it in the gaps in the concrete deck on the east side of the Lodge where the pressure treated wood has rotted out and where the deck is pulling away from the Lodge. This is in preparation for placement of polymeric sand (hopefully Thursday Aug 1) to top and seal the gaps. I don't know how many people we can keep busy with this, but if we have an excess of volunteers there are weeds to pull and other odd jobs. Also I left my pressure washer up at the Lodge to finish up the handicap parking pavers - if someone would like to do this, contact me and we can discuss.

Trip Report

Hauled, placed, leveled and compacted gravel it in the gaps in the concrete deck on the east side of the Lodge where the pressure treated wood has rotted out and where the deck is pulling away from the Lodge. This is in preparation for placement of polymeric sand to top and seal the gaps. Loosened bolts supporting the posts in prep for straightening.
