Trip Report

We celebrated Oregon's birthday a day early with sunny weather. A fortuitous decision since the next day it rained. Our 7.8 mile loop hike started at Doris Ranch with stops at Willamette Heights Park, the Simpson Mural and the Oregon Trail Mural. We then continued our loop on the Mill Race and Middle Fork Path. Everyone was asked to bring an Oregon trivia fact or question which we shared at various sunny stops along the way. We learned a lot and had plenty of laughs. What is the state soil? Jory soil. The third annual birthday trip took 3 hours.
