Description:

A 5 day oar/paddle raft and/or kayak trip with Ouzel Outfitters to explore 63 miles of the spectacular Owyhee River. The trip is rated Class III(moderate), and Ouzel is noted for their emphasis on safety and their experienced guides. The trip begins in Rome and ends at Birch Creek, with great camping, hiking, birding, photo ops and hot springs. And boating too! Ouzel provides all rafting equipment and kayaks, camping gear(this year), meals(vegetarian options) and return transportation to Rome.
The cost is $1,035 for members and $1,040 for nonmembers. Within 5 days of signing up, mail a deposit check of $100 made out to Obsidian Trips to Patricia Esch, 1555 Monterey Av, Eugene, OR 97401. I need 10 checks to arrive in my mailbox by December 15, 2012 to confirm the reservation. Final payment is due February 1, 2013. The deposit is 20% nonrefundable if you cancel before Feb. 1st, and 75% nonrefundable after Feb. 1st. There will be a pre-trip meeting. Questions? Call Pat at 541-338-8280.
