Description:

Great hike through old growth. Passes forest service shelter on the way to the top with a view of the Willamette drainage. Some wild flowers should be out. Possible snow on ground. Possible mosquitoes, so bring repellent.

Participants will manage their own transportation. Obsidian protocols for social distancing will be observed on the hike. Refer to main website page for information.

Trip Report

Patterson Mt, turned into Goodman Creek. After getting almost to the trailhead we ran into a large tree across the the road we could neither get around or under. So by the time we turned around made it back to Hwy 58 it was almost 11am. Because of the increase in new logging roads and the extensive thinning be done around Patterson Mt a new trail was selected. Back to Hardesty. We hiked Goodman Creek trail up to the bridge but had lunch at the water falls. Watched the butterflies and enjoyed the breeze before heading back to the cars.
