Description:

Hwy 242 Obsidian trail to Willamette Pass hwy 58 - 70 miles over 7 days - The first 2 days, will have stunning views and 1 difficult day of elevation on the Obsidian trail.. The last 50 miles will be through lake country... not sure about views.. all days will have a lot of miles. The $40 non-refundable trip reservation fee that will be applied towards carpool costs and any trail fees. All participants must be approved by the trip leader.. Trip Report

What a mellow trip this year! No fires… no multiple trail closures…no wandering in the wilderness… no hitchhiking to find our car.. no Life Flight helicopters.. Just lots of views and lakes… and swimming… visiting with fellow backpackers… beer and ice cream at Elk Lake Lodge…. Huckleberries… playing cribbage…more swimming…. Trail Angels providing more beer and ice cream……even more swimming…. and moving down the trail! Next year.. Crater Lake, here we come!
