Trip Report

We had post-frontal showers most of the day but it cleared just before the hike, but clouds were stacked up against the Cascades. We got to the top, missing both sunset and moonrise. Naturally, once we were back down and well clear of the mountain, the Moon shone brightly through cloud layers. While there was a penumbral eclipse occurring, it was over an hour past the maximum time, and penumbral eclipses often are not easily discernible. Oh well.
