Description:

Our day in Portland will feature Hopscotch Immersive Art Experience, Lan Su Chinese Garden and Powell's City of Books. Total walking will be 4.6 miles, plus all the steps you'll get in the sites we visit.  Here's the plan:

• Catch the 7:45 train to Portland, arriving at 10:20 AM. • Walk 2 miles to Hopscotch, in time for admission at 11:30.  • Tour Hopscotch for 1 1/2 hours, eat lunch there.  • Walk 1.5 miles to Lan Su Garden, in time for 2:00 PM guided tour, lasting about one hour. • We'll then walk half a mile to Powell's and spend the rest of our time there, leaving in time to walk the .6 miles back to the train station in time for our 6:09 PM departure. • We'll arrive back in EUG at 8:47.
