Description:

It looks like we'll be getting fresh snow this weekend and good weather for Tuesday, so it's a great time for a snowshoe trip from the Ray Benson Snow Park. We'll go to either the Island Junction or Brandenburg Shelter for about a 6 mile hike. A stop at Takoda's Restaurant after the trip is a possibility. For riders the gas fee is $17.60.

Trip Report

It was a beautiful day for a snowshoe trip to Ray Benson Snow Park. We trekked into the Island Junction shelter where we had our lunch and enjoyed the views of Mt Jefferson, Jack, and Mt Washington. We returned on a slightly different route giving us a total of six miles for the day. As our trip was on a Tuesday we saw only one other person on the trail. A stop at Takoda\'s Restaurant afterwards made for a great day.
